Journal Entry:

Yesterday was emotional but productive. I made 14 sheets of paper. I also had to have a serious talk with Big Poppa. It all ended ok & I think we are at a place of understanding.

I also received a large shipment from amazon. Lots of cool art supplies for book making/journaling. I got the washi tape on this page, acrylic inks (which I tested on black paper & used on this spread). the black sheets I made yesterday came out horrible. So I used it to test the inks. I learned that ALL the paper I make is useful. The inks are amazing! I also got some faux leather for box and book covers. I may use it on the box I want to make for the collab I discussed w/ Mommy on Friday. We will turn the Mother’s Day gift I made for her.

On Sat, I went to see Michelle to talk about grants. I am planning to do a little towards this everyday. (or at least 3-5 days a week.)

Also after talking to Mommy yesterday, I learned that Suzanne gave me her old deckle that is 81/2x11”! This means I can make twice the sheets as I can now. Suzanne’s package also includes books on paper making & print making techniques I can do from home! This will really elevate my art books

Today I went to mixed media class @ The Art Studio NY. I(t) was the last of the 4 sessions I signed up for. I worked on my pink/purple/yellow book (I guess it needs a title). I worked on it some more when I got home. I added a paper that I did some experimental stamping on. I used multi colored ink & dried leaves & rubber bands wrapped around a block for stamps on a very boring piece of paper I made. I tore pieces of this paper to collage on the pages of the book. I also used washi tape, my prints, (&)acrylic inks. I may also use ribbons, stickers (washi), sequins, and wax seals, and this beautiful multi colored gold leaf.
