Guess Who Got a Juicy Grant
*gasp*… Could it be ME??
Yes my friends it is! I was awarded the Opportunity for Artists grant from the NY State Council of the Arts and I couldn’t be more thrilled!! This grant will support a new body of work with a focus on Book Arts and allow me to share it with the public.
This means I can really dedicate myself to my current (and relatively new) book making practice full time. What a dream. This is a real milestone that marks a solid and true transition towards contemporary arts and away from my former art life in commercial art.
The 2nd act is as scary as it is exhilarating. I’m 44 and starting fresh…but with loads more life experience and creative prowess under my belt. I’m so grateful for the opportunity to grow in this space and discover new things….especially the stretch of my own potential.
