Mermaid Concept Sketch

I SWORE commissions were closed. I reeeaaallly just want to focus on my own self directed work for a good long while. But I love money and I love my cousin. I completely folded for her and started on a request for a mermaid she wanted to put up in her new home. She also said that I could be the model….which was like….ummmmm ….yes please! I love posing in my own work and really missed doing it. So I was very much all in.

I came up with a few concepts/compositions. I wont say this got rejected. But it wasnt the chosen one. I may keep developing this one tho. I see her as a bright sparkly light among a murky muddy atmosphere and all sorts of swampy things…✨
